What is a Muse?
Google Dictionary defines it as:
“a person or personified force who is the source of inspiration for a creative artist.”
Do I have a Muse you ask?
If I do, it can be quite elusive and/or will strike without notice. I can be minding my own business when all of a sudden. “Bam!” I am overcome with inspiration. Which is not a bad thing mind you; but the timing or location can be a bit inconvenient.
Personified Force?
Google Dictionary defines Personify:
“attribute a personal nature or human characteristic(s) to (something nonhuman).”
Well, I have not given my inspiration a “human form”. My inspiration “just is”.
What is it you ask?
For me it is a feeling. A thought. A fresh perspective. A brand new idea! An exciting realization!
Then I… Must…bring…it…to…life. To the page or a canvas
